When Muvac Hosting is being used for Applications:
If Muvac Hosting is used to upload media files directly onto the webpage for applications, please consider the time needed to upload the file. Applications can be successfully submitted only after the uploads are complete, displayed by the symbol and indication "Upload complete":
Maximum size per file: 5GB.
Accepted file types:
Video: 3gpp, mp4, mpeg, quicktime (mov), webm, x-ms-wmv
Audio: flac, mp4, mpeg, wav, x-m4a
Please note that video processing may take some time, which is normal.
As long as you were able to submit your application with the video attached, your application is valid and has been received successfully, even if the video still shows as "queued" or "processing."
If the problem persists, feel free to contact us at support@muvac.com.
=====
When uploading Third-Party media links:
- First, upload your video or audio files to an accepted provider:
Video: Youtube, Vimeo, Youku
Audio: SoundCloud
For more information about how to do this, visit YouTube Help, Vimeo Help, Youku Help, SoundCloud Help
Note: YouTube "Shorts" are not currently supported.
If you don't want your content to be classified automatically as Shorts by Youtube, use a wider aspect ratio such as 16:9 or long-form videos.
Alternatively, upload on another platform like Vimeo.
- To add audio/video links to your Profile, select to the relevant Profile by clicking the menu icon (top right corner of the page), then “Profiles”
- Go to Media & docs on the sidebar. Click the “+” button in Media and add the URL (link) of your audio/video.
Here, you can set the visibility of the audio/video to
- Private: only visible to profile admins and the institutions shared with during application
- Public: visible to everyone looking at your profile
Please make sure that your videos are displayed correctly after linking them. If you cannot view them (or the thumbnail is not displayed), institutions will not either. In order to prevent this, please use only the video’s full link obtainable from your web browser’s address bar (the long one above), and make sure that your video is neither set to “private” nor is it protected with a password.
While applying for opportunities on Muvac, you will have the option to attach/display the already uploaded media to your application. You can also add a new media link directly during the application.
Please note that all your videos can be set to "unlisted" in YouTube, which means that only people who have the link will see your videos.
Vimeo has an "unlisted" option as well but they do not allow embedding, which means it's not possible to upload an unlisted video from Vimeo on Muvac.
